| Operation of the Sanitouch Egg Washers and Graders.
1/ In the standard models the eggs are hand placed on an infeed ramp. Automatic feed models are available with automatic and semi automatic in feed systems. 2/ The eggs are taken into the washer by a plastic conveyor. The conveyor moves the eggs along a track which rocks the eggs from side to side as they roll along the track. 3/ The eggs pass under the first set of brushes where the coarse nylon brushes scrub away any soil. 4/ At the same time a spray of temperature controlled water at 45 degrees C wetts the eggs. The water is not recycled. The small machine above will use 20-30 litres per hour. 5/ An automatic medicator injects a chlorine based egg sanitiser into the wash water to ensure bacterial control on the surface of the egg. 6/ The eggs pass through the wash section on the conveyor to the drying section. 7/ The dry section has fine nylon brushes which disperse the water and allow evaporation of the water. 8/ At the same time, a blower ensures a flow of dreash cool air to assist with the drying of the egg. 9/ The eggs arrive out of the washer onto a receiving tray for hand repacking onto trays. 10/ The eggs may continue on to an attached grader or automatic egg packer. Call with your requirements. Due to the vagaries of exchange and freight rate, and the number of combinations in the system it is not possible to give a fixed price. However at present, 03/2011 the exchange rate is as good as it has been for 15 years, so its a good time to by capital equipment. | ||||||||||||||
